Lektorat is a German proofreading service targeting university students aged 21-28 — a demographic that values both professionalism and approachability. They needed a website that didn't look like a corporate proofreading firm, but also didn't feel so casual that students would question the quality of work. The balance had to be just right: trustworthy enough to handle your thesis, friendly enough that you'd actually submit an order.

The Challenge

The previous website felt sterile and corporate, failing to connect with the young student demographic. The redesign needed to build trust through demonstrated quality, make pricing transparent and easy to understand, and reduce the friction between landing on the site and completing an order — all while appealing to a generation that can spot generic design instantly.

The Solution

We redesigned the website with a creative visual approach that balances playfulness with professionalism. Hand-drawn style icons — reminiscent of a professor's margin corrections — add personality while reinforcing the proofreading theme. An interactive price calculator lets students configure their order and see costs immediately, removing pricing anxiety. Integrated customer reviews provide social proof from peers. The order flow is streamlined into clear steps for both proofreading and plagiarism check services, minimizing drop-off between interest and action.

The Results
