Overview

LockTrip is an online travel marketplace offering hotels and vacation rentals across 180+ countries. The platform had grown rapidly but the booking experience hadn't kept pace — it needed a modern, intuitive interface that worked seamlessly across web and mobile, making it easy for travelers to find, compare, and book accommodations worldwide.

The Challenge

The existing booking experience was functional but dated. Users were dropping off during the search and booking flow, especially on mobile. The platform needed a complete redesign that matched the expectations set by leading travel sites — fast search, intuitive filtering, smooth checkout — while preserving the unique value propositions that differentiated LockTrip in the marketplace. The web and mobile experiences also needed to feel consistent, not like two separate products.

The Solution

We redesigned and rebuilt the frontend across both web and mobile platforms. The web application features a responsive design with fast, server-rendered pages for search and discovery. The mobile app delivers a native experience on iOS and Android with the same intuitive booking flow. We focused on consistency across platforms — a user switching between phone and desktop encounters the same visual language, the same interaction patterns, and the same level of polish.

The Results

Bookings increased by 120% year-over-year following the redesign. Users reported high satisfaction with the interface and appreciated the seamless experience across platforms. The platform continued to scale to over 2 million listed properties across 180+ countries, with the improved UX supporting that growth.
